DIY Console Table

During the pandemic, my husband and I signed our contract to build (before the housing market turned upside down. Read more here. As we waited for the completion of our new home, we were constantly saving furniture ideas and home inspiration. I came across the CB2 Horseshoe Console table and fell in love (it’s now discontinued). My husband loved the table too but not the price. He decided to make his own dupe and spin on the accent table. I did assist on a few things.

 
 





This was a freestyle DIY a lot of learning and pivoting as we went. We had tools on hand (listed below). This project cost about us $210 (supplies). We are not professional woodworkers, check out below how he/we created this cool console table.

Tools Used:

Jig Saw 

Belt Sander

Hand Sander

Multitool

Supplies: 

Plywood

Wood Filler

Stucco

Trowel

Semi-Gloss White Paint 

Felt Pads

Screws


Steps

Cut front face frames of the front and back of the table.

 
 
 

Cut out multiple rounded edges pieces. Then glued cutouts together and clamped overnight.

 
 
 

Screwed rounded edges to the frame. Screwed braces to the frame.

 
 
 

Sanded down and smoothed out the rounded ends of the table.

Filled screws with wood filler and sanded the table down again.

 
 
 

Add a layer of Stucco to the table.

Once the Stucco is dry add a coat of paint.

Lastly added Felt Pads to the bottom of the table.
