Photoshoot Props

With this time home and self-quarantine, I've been falling back in love with photography again. I've used my free time to do self-portraits and test out new hacks and ideas. Taking self-portraits can be intimidating, but I found incorporating props into the photo makes it different and amusing. Do you ever struggle with what to do with your hands, or should you look off to the left or right? I am that person that is awkward in photos, but I found having a theme or planned shoot idea helps getting into the photo vision.

I shared a TikTok video that showed some photoshoot props. Check out the photoshoot props below. In the comments, let me know what props you plan to use for your next photo shoot.

Faux Plants

Adding plants faux or real gives your photo the much-needed touch of greenery. Adding the leaves near the lens provides a blur of greenery to your image.

String Lights

This trend is popular on Pinterest. I was skeptical about trying it because I thought string lights gave a Christmas light vibe, and I was wrong. The lights provide a beautiful light glare on the lens.

Prism

Prisms are the OG Photography accessories. Placing the prism in front of the lens gives a dramatic flair that mimics photo filters apps.

This is an inexpensive backdrop alternative using foil table cover as a backdrop.

Paper backdrops are convenient to add a pop of color to your photos. The Savage brand offers an array of colors to fit your needs.
